Virtual Learning Update:
During the period of school closures there will be activities posted on Teams and emails will be sent when a new activity is posted.  These activities will include online games related to the standards, vocabulary review, discussion questions, and creative projects.  Under the assignment tabs on this page is a link to the Nearpod and packet for the webquest we began before school closed.  As new assignments are created they will also be posted in that tab.

Due to copyright restrictions, I posted an SOL review packet on Teams that is not on this website.  This packet breaks down each standard into smaller sections and gives the basic facts for each.  If you have questions or concerns please email me, I will respond during normal school hours (M-F, 8:00-3:00).

Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.

Welcome to 8th grade civics at Woodbridge Middle School!  Students will learn how participate in our society, the structure and purposes of the U.S. government, and basic economics.  In this class there will be notes, individual classwork, projects, tests, and quizzes.  The students will keep a binder in the classroom that contains their notes and other activities; they will be allowed to take their binder home before a test but it will be their responsibility to bring it back.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, or would like to check on your student's progress, please do not hesitate to email me at schwopmm@pwcs.edu.  I look forward to helping your student succeed at Woodbridge Middle School!
