I am Mr. Perry, a 7th Grade math teacher on the Pocahontas team here at Woodbridge! I know that we are traveling in difficult and uncharted times, and I sincerely hope that you are all doing well.

In order to facilitate multiple opportunities to practice, review, and reinforce learning, students can access our Microsoft Teams page. This will be my primary format of delivery of instruction while we are socially distancing. Besides this, suggested ways to practice are to read over math notes, studying Blended Learning slideshows (students will have access to these for each unit), listen to Khan Academy lessons, practicing on IXL or StudyIsland, or making and solving examples (with a sibling or family member can be especially powerful!). We also now have access to a program called Dreambox Learning (see directions in "Learning Links"), which is a fantastic adaptive math program that works on your specific areas of growth. I appreciate your assistance in supporting student learning, and please let me know if your student will need help with finding homework resources.

Directions for Microsoft Teams

1) Open your device. If tablet/phone, download Microsoft Teams app. If laptop/PC, go to teams.microsoft.com. Log into your account using the login for PWCS computers. This is your email account (GrafTJ25@pwcs-edu.org) and student-created password.

2) Click on “Teams” tab. Teacher pages will be visible. Look for “Perry.”

3) Multiple resources and assignments will be available here. Students may also ask questions about math strategies and concepts here.
4) In order to ask questions or contact me on Teams, select the paper and pen icon (Chat) and ask any questions needed! I will at least be available 8:00am-3pm Monday-Friday.

Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.
