This is my first year in Prince William County and my 8th year teaching. I started my career in Loudoun County and after one year moved to Arlington County Schools. I have taught 8th grade the first two years of my career and then sixth grade after. My background is in Special Education and ESL as well as Math. My fiance and I moved to Prince William county in April 2019 and based on the commute I started looking for teaching jobs closer to my new home.

My undergraduate degree is in Business and Communications from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. I moved to the DC area after graduation and decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I completed my masters degree in Special Education in May 2012. While working I became certified to teach Middle School Math and Algebra 1. In 2016 I had the opportunity to earn my second masters degree in Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners. I completed that degree in May 2019.

I am looking forward to working with the students and teachers at Woodbridge Middle school this year and for many years to come.
